Everyday Coffee has just celebrated its 10th Birthday!! Mark Free one of the Co-Founders, has lead the businesses growth from a small shop in Johnston Street, Collingwood to its nearby current site featuring its own Roastery and café. Everyday Coffee has also expanded its footprint running a pumping little café right in the heart of Melbourne on Little Collins Street.

Everyday Coffee has a loyal and engaged customer base, many subscribe to their Friends of Everyday Coffee, where they receive special offers, seasonal and speciality roasted coffee blends, whilst being part of the Melbourne Coffee Community! At the outset of the Ready for Growth program Mark set the business goals to grow its commercial coffee shop customer base, expand its physical footprint and increase its online subscription and loyal customer base.

Throughout the Ready for Growth journey, Everyday Coffee reassessed its businesses physical growth expansion strategy, realising there were untapped opportunities in their current location, which may lead to more profitable growth. Everyday Coffee has increased its social media presence and built upon its engaged and loyal coffee fans.

“Access to Capital for further growth still remains a challenge”, says Mark, however “I am optimistic that there are positive signs in the economy and the business is now well placed to seize these opportunities.”

Upon completion of the program Mark commented, I enjoyed the concept of having “Business Homework” that I agreed and held myself accountable to doing as I progressed through the Ready for Growth program with my Growth Facilitator Rod Naismith. The program gave me a framework to regularly track and action the growth plans, which was super beneficial.
